County CQI Chairperson: Jim Jones
Have a patient care issue? Click here for the form to report your concern.
Click here for a copy of the County CQI manual.
CQI is required by law in New York State. In Oswego County it consists of Service (corp), County and Regional committees.
CQI exists to improve patient care through:
review of all patient care components (call to 911, dispatch, response, patient contact, interface with hospital)
recognizing things that went right
recognizing and correcting things that need improvement
How to handle patient care issues in Oswego County
1. Always attempt
to deal directly with the affected agency by calling their
CQI contact person (see list below)
2. IF the problem involves ANY of the following:
patient abandonment
esophageal intubation
practicing without a license
Situations that might immediately place patients in danger
Medication errors
THEN contact Central New York EMS
(Susie Surprenant ) at 701-5708.
3. IF the
agency is unresponsive to your concern OR if you are not sure
who to talk to, call the County CQI
Chairperson using the contact list
below.
