EMS Educational Information

Traditional EMS courses must be requested from a Course Sponsor.   In our case, the Oswego County Health Department is a course sponsor.  This course sponsor offers the following New York State EMS certification courses:

•     Certified First Responder (original and refresher)
•     Basic EMT (original and refresher)
•     Advanced EMT Intermediate (original and refresher)
•     Advanced EMT Critical Care (original and refresher)

Paramedic originals and refreshers are conducted by the SUNY Health Science Center.  Information can be obtained by contacting them.
